Additional Details

A very intriguing panorama depicting the large group of prison ships that were moored in the Medway River and used to house French prisoners during the Napoleonic Wars. Marines are shown firing on the escapees from the stern of HMS Canada. The escapees themselves are closer to the foreground and appear to be getting away.
