Prop Tomb Stones. Group of three fabricated gravestone props, each made of foam over plywood structures with a faux marble overlay. Each approximately 190x330 mm, 7½x13 inches. Np, nd [circa 2002].
Created for an unproduced music video for Nas' version of Tupac Shakur's Thugz Mansion, released on Nas' 2002 album God's Son. The tombstones bare the names of "God's Son Nasir Jones September 14, 1973," "Outlaw Tupac Amaru Shakur June 14, 1971 September 13, 1996"), and "Christopher Wallace Notorious B.I.G. Brooklyn's Finest May 21 1972 March 9, 1997." Note that the date of Tupac Shakur's birth is incorrectly indicated. The singer was born on September 16, 1971.
