"In the fight over the location of the permanent capitol of Nebraska, a majority of the Territorial Legislature left the temporary capitol at Omaha and set themselves up in Florence, where they stayed for forty days. This was a protest against the actions of the minority who favored Omaha as the location for a permanent capitol"--Graff 2960; Streeter Sale IV:2010 [this copy].
