Additional Details

Josiah Bartlett Edgerly (1800-1888) of Farmington, NH is variously listed in census records and town histories as a wheelwright, carriage maker, and carpenter. Among the many products Edgerly recorded in this cash book are sleigh and wagon arms, whiffletrees, axles, gun stocks, chests, and coffins. He also undertook painting, varnishing, and various repairs. He also served as a deputy, justice of the peace, and surveyor at various points--but the extent of his woodworking is of primary interest here.
