Additional Details

Governor Fernando de la Concha is perhaps best remembered for sending a party to establish a trade route from Santa Fe to St. Louis in 1792; this evolved into the Santa Fe Trail. In this document he approves the petition of soldier Juan García de la Mora to marry a local girl named María Concepción García.
