This advertisement for Harvey's boot and shoe store features a large and attractive engraving of the "great Bartholdi statue, Liberty Enlightening the World, the Gift of France to the American People, to be erected on Bedloe's Island, New York Harbor." Bedloe's Island was chosen as the site in 1877, and the statue was dedicated in 1886.
