Additional Details

Very rare first state of Havell's gorgeous panorama of New York. One of the artist's first projects in New York after relocating to the city from London shortly after his completion of John James Audubon's Birds of America. The pleasing nature of this print is especially communicated by the fine quality of aquatinting and hand-coloring that was employed by Havell. American Historical Prints E-120; Catalogue of the William Sloane Collection 19.
