The Central Park.
Photographed by W.H. Guild, Jr. With Descriptions and a Historical Sketch by Fred B. Perkins. Illustrated with 50 photographs, plus a small vignette on the title page and a frontispiece, documenting the newly constructed park as well as Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux's historic design, each a serene, nearly unpopulated scene. Albumen prints, most measuring approximately 4 1/2x3 1/4 inches (11.4x5.3 cm.), and the reverse. 4to, gilt-lettered brown morocco; some dampstaining to early pages, but overall the photographs very good; all edges gilt; enclosed in a custom clamshell box with a title label. FIRST EDITION.
