Additional Details

Remarkable archive of prints documenting the disastrous collapse of street-level planking above the subway tunnel excavation on 7th Avenue between 24th and 25th streets on September 22nd, 1915, which left 7 people dead and dozens injured.

The wreckage of twisted steel and massive wooden beams progressively rebuilds throughout the quasi-photojournalistic record preserved here, dated between September 22nd and October 1st, 1915.
