Additional Details

The effort to create a rail tunnel under the Hudson River into Manhattan began in 1873, and was not completed until 1908. It still carries a heavy load of PATH train commuters between Jersey City and Manhattan. The original of this profile was drafted in 1891, and the present certified copy was prepared by the Secretary of State's office in 1909. Provenance: Collection of Gerald J. Levy.
