Partial album chronicling the people of Calabar, a province in Nigeria, containing 16 ethnographic photographs and assorted ephemera, including photographs of funeral and marriage dancers, a Hausa woman, the free born ladies of Calabar, the interior of Secendi, a tradesman's shop, native groups posing in front of thatched huts, Calabar's "fat girl," women beating corn, unmarried girls, and 24 photomechanical postcards depicting native peoples and crafts as well as the town of Lagos, in addition to a newspaper clipping relating to the British colonial presence. Printing-out paper prints, each approximately 5 1/2x7 1/2 inches and the reverse, with handwritten captions in Gujarati. Folio, lacks front and rear covers, 2 leaves detached, pages are chipped and worn. 1900-05
