The single-screw ship commenced service in 1884 with four masts and two funnels. She was reduced to two masts in 1896. Renamed "Lake Simcoe" in 1901 when she began service for the Beaver Line. Her North German Lloyd sister ship was the "Eider." She was scrapped in 1904.
