Additional Details

The bygone era of ferry travel, once a preferred mode of transportation for Brooklynites and Staten Islanders to lower Manhattan, was already diminishing in the 1940s. The album chronicles this transition as ferry terminals were being demolished or repaired along the East and Hudson Rivers.
