(NYC HARBOR AND THE EAST RIVER) A selection of approximately 46 ship and boat press photographs from New York City. Featuring a variety of ships and boats around New York Harbor, including cruising vessels, military ships and aircraft carriers, ferries, shippers, and more, many with the spectacular skyline, bridges, or Statue of Liberty in the background. The images range from closeup shots of the boats to overall scenes of the busy port and piers. Some are by named photographers, or are well-known ships, including the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary. Silver prints, the images measuring 4 3/4x6 3/4 to 8x10 inches (12.1x17.1 to 20.3x25.4 cm.), and the reverse, three are mounted, many sheets slightly larger, with a combination of press stamps, caption labels, and/or notations in pencil and in ink on verso.
