Additional Details

Heinrich Joseph Nothnagel published the weekly Ohio Staats-Bote in Canton from 1846 to 1851. This broadside demonstrated the various German typefaces he had on offer, starting with "Kleine Buchstaben nach alphabetischer Ordnung," then "Einfachste Silben" and finally "Das grosse Alphabet." Ohio Imprints addenda 10130; no others traced at auction or in OCLC. Provenance: from the stock of Ernest Wessen's Midland Books.
