Schultz's Star Soap, based in Zanesville, Ohio, developed into a major national brand from the 1860s onward, was sold to Proctor & Gamble in 1903, and continued to be sold under the Schultz brand into the 1920s. The soap was patented in 1866, and they used this slogan in their newspaper advertising through 1874.
