with an original illustration by fish in pencil, ink, and wash; titled in pencil across the top: "The rush to be in the photograph with the Prince of Wales. I hope you recognize him" and "publicity photograph" written farther down the sheet in the margin; 285x340 mm; 11 1/4x15 3/4 inches, sheet, some marginal soiling and gentle creasing. Fish was the quintessential illustrator of Twenties society life for such magazines as Vanity Fair and Vogue. This charming image is an excellent example of her costumes and characters.
