With 69 (of 70) plates from each issue bound facing each other. In all, 138 plates. 4to, early 1/2 morocco, minor wear; quite clean; lacks the plate of Sauk River. Washington, 1859-60
The first issue of the report by the Senate contains plates lithographed by Bien; the House issue plates were lithographed by Sarony, Major & Knapp. Besides variations in the lithographers, captions and plate numbers, most plates are tinted differently and with subtle changes in the placement of rocks, trees, etc. See Wagner-Camp 267:1 and 267:2.
