This unique set of photographs was created by Charles West, then a young Army captain stationed in New York City, and have never before been commercially available. They are from his personal collection and were taken by West in a friend's apartment in Jackson Heights, Queens. They show Bettie in rather homespun settings--on a table in the dining room, camping it up in front of a fireplace, and posing on a couch in the living room. She presents herself as flirtatious, ebullient and, of course, sexy.
