Additional Details

a complete run of this rare revolutionary publication, co-written by a small group of students and Charlie Cobb, former secretary for SNNC, and proprietor of the Drum and Spear Bookshop. The Pan African was a serious periodical aimed for the most part at African Americans, in an attempt at making them aware of the problems faced by their "brothers," the people of the newly emerging African republics. There is also a great deal of writing about local domestic issues, with articles about the civil rights struggle, the Panthers, etc. Danky 4710 cites this publication but obviously had not seen a complete run.
