An unusual series both in size--nearly six feet long--and point-of-view, which is from the European (vs. Asian) side. (The Galata Tower, which is seen in the third panel, was the traditional viewpoint of photographers.) From the high vantage point, we see the city's bustling harbor as well as a wealth of visual information about the city's architecture, including the Royal Palace and several mosques and minarets from which the call to prayer is traditionally issued.
