A peculiar atlas obviously made of sheets from an earlier atlas and bound with the addition of a new title to capitalize on the American centennial. The pagination is extremely irregular early on but becomes basically regular in the main body of the work. The binding appears to be made from earlier boards with a cloth backstrip attached when published to accommodate the changed collation.
