A later state of a print issued shortly after the devastating March 1819 fire. It was dedicated to "the active and much esteemed fire engine & hose companies." The obscure Philadelphia artist Samuel Jones did the original painting, but the better-known genre artist John Lewis Krimmel was brought in to paint the figures.
