Additional Details

Focusing on Warren and Forest Counties in Northwestern Pennsylvania, lands which experienced a massive oil boom in the later half of the nineteenth century. Key indicates which wells are drilling, producing, light, dry or found to have natural gas. Opperman was a civil engineer in the oil city of Bradford in neighboring McKean County and produced several maps delineating the area's recently harnessed underground resources.
