Additional Details

Evans's beautiful, rich block prints of state flowers, hand-printed on his 1852 Washington Hand Press. As with each of his creations, the blocks were destroyed after the edition was printed. He selected each specimen, drew it from life, cut the blocks, and mixed each color by hand. The fascicles were made up of various sheets from the different print runs so they are numbered between 90 and 125. His coveted works are held by several museums and institutions.
