Additional Details

A well-produced magazine edited and published by Moses Jordan, by and for the Black community of Chicago. Includes an article by the important Black North Dakota author Era Bell Thompson, later an editor at Ebony--she writes on an exhibition of Chinese art at Chicago's Field Museum. Other articles trace the history of the "Colored Elks Lodges" and offer an interview with Black composer Nathaniel Clark Smith. OCLC lists copies only at Howard and Dillard Universities--apparently only one issue at each. Danky-Hady 414; not in Lomazow.
