Additional Details

An apparently unpublished artillery training manual with Peruvian provenance. One section of the manuscript is dated Segovia, 21 September 1786, on page 54r, though this may be a later transcript. The royal artillery academy was located in Segovia by this time. Following leaf 68 is a shorter section in another hand titled "Exercicio de mortero de todas calibres executado con 2 bombardezas y 6 sirvientes." Provenance: Sociedad Geografico de Lima stamps dated 1888; estate of Jorge María Corbacho (1881-1947) of Peru to Juan Francisco Echevarria, and then by descent to the consignor.
