Additional Details

An elegant family portrait album, with one outdoor portrait of seven formally attired family members having a picnic. Exactly half of these photographs are on mounts by various photographers from Springfield, OH; 7 are from other towns in Ohio such as Newark, Delaware, Urbana, and Dayton; and 3 are from Lexington, KY. 16 are from unidentified photographers. We have spotted captions on only two: a group portrait of 7 young people in Newark, OH is inscribed "Maggie Wesley"; and a portrait of an older man is inscribed on verso "Mrs. Laura Wells, rear of 57 Madison Ave." The full story of how these aunts, cousins and children are connected is yet to be told.
