The models are in a variety of clothing, but many wear ballet gear. Two photos depict an African drummer, and one woman is in a stylized American Indian costume. The photographer Arthur E. Grobes (1931-2020) is identified by census records as Black; his GR 3-6742 phone number suggests that his inked stamp was created before 1983.
