Includes a 31 December 1853 "Trial Balance Sheet" for Russell, Waddell & Co. signed by russell and waddell. In addition, there are two versions of a June 1860 "Statement of Liabilities and Assets" of Russell, Majors & Wadell, a September 1859 "Balance sheet" for Russell & Waddell and 7 different statements relating to Smock & Waddell from 1853 to 1856. Finally, there is also a "Balance Sheet" of the books of R. B. Bradford of Denver dated 1 February 1861. Shortly after the formation of the Leavenworth & Pike's Peak Express Company, Russell, Majors and Waddell contracted with Bradford to open a store in Denver. Besides listing monies owed to the store by the various mining or related companies, COC&PPEC is also listed among the assets.
