Group of 50 portraits of male and female laborers on colorful ID badges that are mostly associated with heavy industry during World War II, including aircraft factories, brass and machine works, steel companies, shipbuilders, boiler and tank facilities, as well as watchmakers, the U.S. naval hospital and the Treasury (Public Debt Office), and more, primarily in the Midwest (Chicago, Peoria, St. Louis, Louisville), but also on the west and east coasts, including San Francisco, Ft. Monmouth, and Charleston. Most are oval or circular, a few are rectangular; celluloids and pinbacks, various sizes. 1940s-50s
