Select group of 3 remarkable portraits, comprising "Study of Shaker Sisters from Canterbury and Sabbathday Lake" by Notman; an early portrait of Lord Lyons, British Ambassador to the United States by Brady, with "Lord Lyons" in pencil, in unknown hand, on verso; and a beautiful oval study of a mother and daughter attributed to Whitehurst, with "Mrs. Chambers" written in pencil, on verso. Salted paper (Brady and Whitehurst) and silver (Notman) prints, 15 1/2x18 1/2 inches (39x47 cm.) and smaller; the Notman with a Boston studio credit on mounts recto and verso. 1860s-80s
