Additional Details

Das Plakat was the leading magazine of the day to promote graphic design. It was launched in 1910 by poster collector Hans Josef Sachs as the official publication of the Verein der Plakat Freunde (The Society for Friends of the Poster) founded in 1905 to promote poster collecting and increase scholarship. May of the images from the publication, and included here, were never reproduced in larger formats and are often the only place they were printed.
