Additional Details

The bulk of these photographs show Roosevelt at public events during the period of his presidency. One shows him in uniform posing with his Rough Riders officers.

50 photographs are about 4½ x 3½ inches or smaller, mounted on excised album leaf fragments with manuscript captions and negative numbers, one of the leaves stamped "Return to Underwood & Underwood," 1902-1908. Of this group, 10 of the images show the dedication of the McKinley National Memorial in Canton, OH on 30 September 1907. Others show President Roosevelt and his daughter Alice with Prince Henry of Prussia in 1902 at the christening of the yacht William belonging to Kaiser Wilhelm.
