Additional Details

An important State of the Union address given by Jackson upon his re-election. Two years into the imposition of the 1830 Indian Removal Act and the infamous "Trail of Tears," Jackson crowed that "the wise and humane policy of transferring from the Eastern to the Western side of the Mississippi the remnants of our aboriginal tribes, with their own consent and upon just terms, has been steadily pursued, and is approaching, I trust, its consummation." One copy in OCLC, and no others known at auction.
