Papers from the 1840 campaign include 5 issues of the Log Cabin of Albany and New York (2 and 30 May, 29 August, 17 October 1840, and 23 January 1841); 2 copies of the Log Cabin Advocate of Baltimore for 15 December 1840; The Whip and Spur of Newport, NH for 5 October 1840 (a Democratic organ); and the Log Cabin of Dayton, OH for 25 July 1840, which features woodcut borders of logs.
