An early exercise in vote-counting, listing in table form each state's record in the 1836 election, and their predicted electoral vote counts in 1840. The compiler expected Van Buren to win in a landslide, with only 3 states comfortably in the Harrison camp. Fortunately, the complier added a disclaimer at the bottom: "We may be wrong, but this is our opinion!" They were wrong. Harrison actually won 18 states and 80% of the Electoral College.
