Illustrated with a portrait of Harrison and his facsimile signature. This Whig county convention was held in New Haven just a month before the election, long after Harrison had received the national nomination. After a grand procession through the city, the more than 5,000 attendees heard speeches denouncing the Van Buren administration (see the Hartford Courant, 9 October 1840).
