President John Tyler sits on his throne, flattered by office-seekers who are advised to "call him a second Washington." Another office-holder is given the boot by Tyler's son and private secretary Robert Tyler for "being suspected of being in favor of Henry Clay." Clay looks in from a window, pronouncing "Whom the Gods wish to destroy, they first deprive of reason." One in OCLC, at the American Antiquarian Society; not in Reilly and not traced at auction.
