Four leaders of the Democratic Party, each with a Nast caricature and quotes showing their lack of loyalty to the Union. Presidential candidate Horatio Seymour is shown as a sympathizer of the 1863 New York draft rioters, while convention delegate Nathan Bedford Forrest's role in the Fort Pillow Massacre as a Confederate general is emphasized. Former Confederate leaders Raphael Semmes and Wade Hampton (then governor of South Carolina) are also depicted. None known at auction since 1996.
