Additional Details

An engraving from Grover Cleveland's unsuccessful reelection campaign, featuring his portrait alongside vice-presidential candidate Allen G. Thurman, along with portraits of Jackson, Washington, and Jefferson, various patriotic emblems, and the mottoes "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity," "The Union Forever One and Inseparable," and "No North, No South, No East, No West." No other copies thus have been traced, though the Smithsonian holds an earlier state from the 1884 campaign, with Vice President Hendricks instead of Thurman.
