A beautiful example of Coello's detailing of Puerto Rico intended to accompany the "Diccionario Geografico Estadistico Historico" by Pascual Madoz. Despite the engraved cautionary notice in the lower right corner: "Maps that do not have the company's stamp are considered counterfeit" (translated), of the half-dozen or so institution and trade examples we have researched, none in fact bear the authentic "Madoz y Coello" blindstamp seen here.
