(RABBITS & GUINEA PIGS) An album with approximately 67 photographs featuring lustrous award-winning rabbits and plump guinea pigs.
Apparently compiled by a rabbit and guinea pig enthusiast or breeder, the album contains numerous handsome portraits of the animals (including sweet long-eared English lob rabbits, the animals singly and in groups or occasionally with their ribbons, and in one instance, a donkey), as well as some habitats, and a young man posing with a plethora of ribbons from the Metropolitan Pet Stock Yards (in Roslindale, Massachusetts). Silver prints, the images a variety of sizes, but most measuring 2x3 to 6x8 inches (5.1x7.6 to 15.2x20.3 cm.), and the reverse, mounted recto only. Folio, green cloth, edgeworn. Circa 1918
