Carter G. Woodson (1875-1950) was a tireless worker and advocate for the Negro history. He not only wrote and edited the Journal of Negro History, and the Negro History Bulletin, but ran Associated Publishers, and wrote 18 books himself including his groundbreaking 1933 work, 'The Mis-education of the Negro."
