Gordon E. The Church of God in Christ (COGIC) is a Pentecostal church with a largely Black membership of more than six million members. Included in these papers are:

Correspondence file of letters to and from Bishop Vaughn, 14 items, 1963-1966. It includes a 19 July 1963 letter from the notable Black architect Julian C. Madison of Cleveland, offering to "discuss your building program at any time."

39 pages of loose typescript and manuscript minutes and memoranda, including Ministerial Alliance, annual meetings to organize Western Pennsylvania, building fund drive notes, and more, 1950-1965.

Printed ephemera, 26 items, 1940-1992, including a circa 1940 printing of "The Gospel of Faith," a 1990 COGIC calendar of events and an undated "Gold Loves You" ribbon both illustrated with Bishop Vaughn's portrait, numerous obsequies programs, and various programs and yearbooks.
