Additional Details

A fascinating and important church history. The Bethel Church of Jacksonville, Florida was founded in 1838 with an entire congregation of less than ten people, two of whom were slaves of the deacon Rev. J. Jaudon. The directory can serve as a valuable prime resource for genealogical purposes for the descendants of Jacksonville's early Baptists. though oclc lists a great deal of material relative to this church, no copy of this directory is identified.
