(ROOSEVELT, THEODORE.) Album of photographs of President Roosevelt on horseback, along with other family photos. 60 albumen prints laid down on 19 stiff album boards. Oblong 8vo, 7 x 10 inches, worn and lacking backstrip; contents well-preserved; many photographs by Clinedinst of Washington (inscribed in negative, inscribed in manuscript, or stamped), but none of the images captioned. Additional Details

The first 28 images depict President Roosevelt and four others on horseback. Among the party are his son Theodore Jr. and aide Fitzhugh Lee II, while the others are unidentified. The caption on another copy of one image at the Library of Congress places the date at 25 May 1907. Later photographs in the volume depict the White House, Sagamore Hill, and a family excursion by steamship. The last ten photographs are of an April 1908 ballooning adventure, with Theodore Roosevelt Jr. and Fitzhugh Lee II in the party.
