This photograph was published in the 4 November 1905 issue of The Literary Digest, page 647, with the caption "The President at his mother's home in Georgia. President Roosevelt and Mrs. Roosevelt at Bulloch Hall, the old home of the President's mother in Roswell, Ga. The group Senator and Mrs. Clay, the family of J.B. Wing, and friends and neighbors of the Bulloch family, also Mammy Grace, the old Negro woman who was nurse to President Roosevelt's mother, and Daddy Williams, also an old servant of the Bulloch family, who decorated the home at the wedding of the President's mother." With--a blank postcard of Roosevelt and a caricatured African American man, titled "Etats-Unis, Blanc et noir."
