Additional Details

The triple-screw "Royal Edward" became a part of the Royal Line after having a brief service with the Egyptian Mail Steamship Co. She began service for the Royal Line in 1910. She became a troopship in 1914 and was sunk in 1915 with a great loss of life. Her sister ship was the "Royal George." Material concerning the ship is scarce because she was in service for such a short period of time.
