Reuben Daniels (1804-1876) was a successful machinist and manufacturer in Woodstock, VT with a talent for invention. Offered here are:
3 medals engraved by the American Institute of New York to Daniels for his inventions, each 2 inches across: "Reuben Daniels for a Wool Picker, 1850" (silver, in original case); "Daniels & Raymond for a superior granular fuel cutter, 1855" (silver, in original case); "Daniels Machine Co. for a Cider Press & Cider Mill, 1869" (bronze).
